Workspace properties Main section There are three properties in the main section: Name Parent workspace: This allows you to build hierarchies of workspaces Workspace color: This is used for the icon in the left sidebar and for the workspace indicator in the list view as shown above Sub-section "Description" This is the description that can be displayed in the overview as shown above. Make sure you select “Yes” for “Show description on workspace overview page?” to display it. Sub-section "Permissions" By setting permissions you tell the system what each user can do and see in this workspace. When you open the sub-section it will look like this: But as soon as you select a user you will get an extended view which allows you to control the rights of that user in more detail: Assigning objects to workspaces At the beginning we told you that all information in OpenGoo is organised in workspaces. But once more workspaces are not as simple as folders: There are some information types that can belong to more than one workspace at once - while other information types can only be assigned to one single workspace at a time. Single workspace objects When you are editing a single workspace object, there is only a dropdown menu allowing you to choose one workspace at a time for that object: The following information types are single workspace objects: E-Mails Events Milestones Tasks Web links Multiple workspace objects When you are editing a multiple workspace object, there is a double selector box that lets you assign as many workspaces as you like for that object: The following information types are multiple workspaces objects: Messages Contacts (including roles) Companies Files Log In
